Jessica Christianson
With seven years of dedicated veterinary practice, Dr. Jessica Christianson brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to our team. She holds a BA in International Studies and French from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and earned her DVM from Auburn University, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2017. Dr. Christianson’s expertise is honed through a rotating small animal surgery internship at the University of Missouri, a specialty neurology internship at the Center for Veterinary Specialty/Emergency Care (now Blue Pearl Pet Hospital North Dallas), and three years of advanced neurology training at Tufts University.
Dr. Christianson specializes in small animal neurology, focusing on using nutrition to support animals suffering from various diseases. Her whole animal approach, incorporating nutrition and supplements, ensures optimal results for pets. She is a strong advocate of fear-free tactics to provide a stress-free experience for her patients.
Dr. Christianson has significantly contributed to community outreach through her work with ShotVet, providing vaccine clinics in North Georgia. This initiative offers basic preventative medicine at reduced costs, making it accessible to marginalized populations. Her efforts underline her commitment to community health and wellness.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Christianson enjoys spending quality time with her wife, who is also a veterinarian, and their diverse pet family. This includes their Catahoula leopard dog, Wylie, two Maine coons, Freddie Mercury and JJ, and two domestic short hairs, Schmitt and Lenny. Dr. Christianson has a passion for gardening, particularly growing fruits and vegetables, and is an avid cook with a special interest in BBQ and classic French cuisine. Her homemade hot sauce, crafted from her garden’s peppers, is a yearly delight. As a true foodie, she loves exploring and trying new cuisines.
