Field Trips with Grove Animal Hospital
Some of our well behaved field trip pets, like MacArthur, get to attend extra outings with the rest of the family. This is MacArthur and Avery at a horse show.

Our boarding facility is staffed by two longtime team members who offer tender loving care with many years of experience at no extra charge.

  • Our boarding kennel features several runs and many cages.
  • Cats are kept separately from dogs for a more comfortable experience.
  • Grove Animal Hospital & Holistic Center will arrange pickup times that are owner friendly.
  • Bathing, basic grooming and medication administration.

 Let’s Take a Field Trip

Carlson Family Farm Field Trip – Kennel days can get a little monotonous for a long stay so Grove Animal Hospital & Holistic Center is offering field trips for our boarders. The most popular trip is a visit to Dr. Carlson’s small horse farm near Harvard, Illinois. Your pet is treated to a great time running in the woods, romping through the horse arena, meeting new friends including dogs, cats, chickens and the Carlson family’s 28″ miniature horse Frosted Flakes. Seasonal availability.

Kennel Vacations with Indoor Facilities – Sure, the outdoors is fun but when wintry Chicago weather strikes it’s great to get out and romp with some friends. Field trips and transportation can be arranged to a network of local kennels that have indoor playtime or day care. Your pet will receive transportation and playtime at the rate of the local kennel and come home to his friends at Grove to be cared for in a professional setting by our experienced team members.
